At the July 14, 2005 School Board meeting, Superintendent Kevin Castner reported that an audit had been completed by staff (at the request of the State Superintendent) to assess the amount of local money spent directly on compliance with the requirements of the Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation, expenses that are not reimbursed by the Federal Government. The total was $1.3 million for 2004-05 school year. That is up from $661,00 spent during 2002-03. We are projecting to spend $1.7 million in 2007-08. Brian
