I learned about this article from Twitter, effective communication is a struggle for many administrators. I actually know one that won't check his email. He has his secretary print them off and then he tells her what to type in response. I call that the lack of desire to grow and develop, but he expects his district of thousands of teachers and staff to stay up with technology.

Thank you for a compelling introductory article encouraging school board members and superintendents to set up a blog. Now that I've seen your blog and all that it can do and be (it's really well done, btw) I intend to launch my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Continued best wishes in your public service to the children & families of Charlottesville.
